About

Bramble and Burr’s journey starts with owner Vienne’s journey to Wabasha. Weaving through art school, women’s history studies, and years spent balancing motherhood, farming, and creative work, she discovered Wabasha’s charm. She planted roots with her family on their local organic farm, and member only pottery studio- Iron Bridge Art and Clay.

At Iron Bridge, members enjoy unlimited studio access, private lessons, and group events—whether it’s a bachelorette party, a creative retreat, or time to hone personal pottery skills. In early 2025 Vienne shifted to a membership model at her pottery studio which has allowed her to balance time with family and farm life, while still keeping the studio a place of connection and creativity.

In June of 2025, Vienne expanded her creative scope to a storefront filled with locally made and thoughtfully curated goods. Through her experiences living in the Pacific Northwest and all things unique and spooky, Vienne’s vision cumulated in opening a brick and mortar storefront, Bramble and Burr. From handmade pottery from artists at Iron Bridge Art and Clay to artisan brooms, teas, and prints, the shop celebrates craftsmanship and the stories behind it. Many items come from women-owned businesses and local makers, reflecting Vienne’s commitment to supporting creativity in the river valley.

Every detail in Bramble and Burr tells a story—whether it’s the three-generation tradition of Meckley Brooms or Vienne’s own fresh flowers from her farm. For her, these handmade items are more than just beautiful objects; they represent heritage, care, and the value of tangible, meaningful work in a fast-paced world.

Together, Iron Bridge Art & Clay and Bramble and Burr are places where creativity, tradition, and community meet—inviting locals and visitors alike to slow down, explore, and discover something real.
